Jointworks Exhibits: Michelle Turton

We’re pleased to launch Jointworks Exhibits, a new, regular showcase of artists and makers whose work we genuinely admire.

First up is Michelle Turton, whose bright, joyful pieces are now up on the walls at The Jointworks and available to buy via the Birmingham Design shop. Her work brings real warmth and colour to the building, and it’s been a pleasure to live with it day to day.

You can explore more of Michelle’s work here: https://www.michelleturton.com/

Jointworks Exhibits is about sharing good work in a space that’s properly lived in. The walls here see a lot of life, members working day to day, people popping in for meetings, and a steady stream of talks, workshops and events, which means the work gets seen, talked about, and enjoyed by a wide mix of people.

It’s not a gallery in the traditional sense, and that’s very much the point. The work sits alongside conversation, collaboration and creativity in action, the kind of environment where pieces spark interest naturally, without any awkward sales pressure.

We’ll be rotating exhibitions regularly, using the space to champion artists and makers whose work feels at home here. We’ll also be showcasing some jewellery makers work very soon, which feels like a fitting continuation given the building’s history.

If you’re in the area, come and spend some time with the work.
And if you’re visiting us for a meeting or an event, keep an eye on the walls while you’re here.

(Our meeting rooms and event spaces are available for hire, in an environment filled with good people, good work, and now, great art).
